This project is consistent with Program Open Space objectives and funding was approved and appropriated by the General Assembly. However, Board of Public Works approval is necessary prior to the commitment of funds. This project will be submitted to the Board for approval in the very near future and if approved, the local government may begin at their earliest opportunity.
The final full week of Session has concluded with Sine Die being the last day. The week has been filled with many different and important events taking place. This week, the Senate has taken a look at the Budget, a Second Look Act, I have had bills pass both houses and go to the Governor’s desk, and I even got a chance to testify on an Alaska bill that mirrors a bill of mine from last year! It has been quite a marathon this year.

We are coming down to the last turn of the 2025 Session. Bills have been passed from the House and Senate and now are moving to the opposite chambers for consideration. Some of my bills have been heard in various House committees and if favorably reported on, they will move to the House floor for final passage.
