Senator Mike McKay earned the endorsement of the Maryland Right to Life Political Action Committee in his bid for re-election to the Maryland Senate.

Maryland Right to Life evaluates candidates on their records and their stated positions before offering support, and its endorsement reflects a judgment about consistency over time rather than a single vote or statement.

“I have not changed my position on this to suit an election, and I am not going to start now,” McKay said. “People here can look at my record and know where I stand. That is worth more to me than being comfortable in Annapolis.”

McKay has represented Maryland’s First District as a consistent conservative voice, first in the House of Delegates and now in the Senate, on the issues Western Maryland voters have sent him to Annapolis to defend.
