I am pleased to inform you all that the Board of Public Works has approved the $170,000 funding for two projects in the Town of Hancock. They were for the Town Plaza and parking area adjacent to the Western Maryland Rail Trail and C&O Canal and for Kirkwood Park. The Town Plaza will have resurface of pavement, replacing of deteriorating wooden guardrails, create additional green space and planters, and install a public pavilion with electric hookups. In Kirkwood Park drainage improvements will be designed and constructed to existing recreational facilities.
