Governor Hogan held a press conference this afternoon to give an update on the rollout of the COVID-19 vaccine. The Governor explained that a little more than 75% of first doses have been administered and much of the remaining have been spoken for. Second doses are starting to be administered as well but they must be administered in a set time frame. There are new providers of the vaccine with Giant Foods, Martin\’s, Walmart, Safeway, and RiteAid joining in. Due to the shortage of vaccines, vaccinations are still by appointment only. The Governor also stated that there will be six large mass vaccination sites at: Six Flags America, M&T Bank Stadium, the Baltimore Convention Center, and there are three unknown sites that are being finalized for mass vaccination sites in Western Maryland and the Eastern Shore.
