Today the Republican Caucus sent a letter to Secretary Tiffany Robinson of the Maryland Department of Labor. The Caucus called upon Secretary Robinson to open up the work search requirement for people getting unemployment benefits. As of now, the state does not require anyone to be actively searching for a job while receiving unemployment benefits due to the pandemic. It is important that with the state opening up and there being some new opportunities, that those receiving unemployment should start searching and pursuing jobs.
