I am pleased to inform you all that two projects in Garrett County have been approved for funding through grants from Project Open Space. The first project is at Mountain Lake Park for security cameras. Project Open Space would fund $10,326.60 of the total $11,474 needed to purchase and install the cameras for the Bob Damon Veterans park, Leo Martin Memorial Park, and Woodell Park to deter vandalism and preserve park amenities.
The Second project being funded is for the signage of Leo Martin Park. Project Open Space would fund $2,340 of the total $2,600 needed for purchasing and installation of the new Victorian style signage at Leo Martin Memorial Park.
