It is a pleasure to inform you that the Maryland Department of Natural Resources has received a grant request for Program Open Space (POS) Local assistance for the above-referenced project.
This project aligns with the objectives of Program Open Space and has already been approved and appropriated by the General Assembly. However, funding cannot be committed until approval is granted by the Board of Public Works. This project will be submitted to the Board for approval in the very near future. If approved, Allegany County may proceed at the earliest opportunity.
