McKay in the News: State Ban on Plastic Bags

In today\’s news, the Herald Mail ran an article pertaining to the Plastic Bag Reduction Act. The bill itself plans to restrict the plastic bags given out at restaurants and stores in thickness and charge individuals for them. Delegate McKay had attempted to insert an amendment that would delay the enactment of the bill by two years (until 2024) so the paper mill would be able to rehire and retrain workers who had been laid off due to the pandemic.
