Project Description:
The Town of Lonaconing has submitted a grant request for Program Open Space (POS) Local assistance to purchase and install benches and picnic tables at Iron Furnace Park.
Dear Honorable Senators and Delegates,
It is a pleasure to inform you that the Department of Natural Resources has received a POS Local grant request for the above project. This initiative aligns with the goals of Program Open Space, and funding has been approved and appropriated by the Maryland General Assembly.
Before funds can be committed, the project must be approved by the Board of Public Works. Submission for approval will occur in the near future. Once approved, the Town of Lonaconing may begin the project at its earliest convenience.
