Governor Hogan issued a statement yesterday, beginning January 1, 2022, the starting pay of Maryland State Troopers will increase by 45%. This is part of his new $150 million investment into his Re-Fund The Police Initiative. In his press conference, the Governor called out the liberal and extreme “defund the police” movement calling it “far-left lunacy”. He added that police officers are vital in making our state safer.
