Governor Hogan Announces Funding for Pedestrian Projects

In a press release on Monday, September 20, 2021, Governor Hogan announced that $16.8 million would be given in grants to support 42 projects across the State of Maryland. These projects include improving trails, bike paths, and various other pedestrian ways. Two of the projects being funded are located in District 1. They are the following:

$1.8 million to the National Park Service to rehabilitate 18 miles of the C&O Canal towpath in Allegany County

$120,000 to construct a .75-mile multiuse crushed stone trail at Washington County Regional Park in Washington County
