This Wednesday, September 1, 2021, the Maryland Department of Public Works will be considering funding for the following projects in District 1C:
A request to enter into a grant agreement for a $15,000 grant to the Board of Directors of the Cumberland Historic Cemetery Organization, Inc. for the acquisition, planning, design, construction, repair, renovation, reconstruction, site improvement, and capital equipping of informational markers atmultiple cemeteries in Allegany County. There is no matching fund requirement for this grant (Item 8 of the Department of General Services’ Office of State Procurement Agenda); and
A request to enter into a grant agreement for a $2,500,000 grant to the Board of County Commissioners of Washington County for the planning, design, construction, site improvement, and capital equipping of the renovation and expansion of the Maryland Theatre and the Barbara Ingram School for the Arts (Urban Educational Campus) and for the University System of Maryland at Hagerstown. There is no matching fund requirement for this grant (Item 16 of the Department of General Services’ Office of State Procurement Agenda).
