Funding for Cumberland

the Department of Natural Resources has received a grant request for Local Parks and Playgrounds Infrastructure Funding assistance in the amount of $67,200 from the City of Cumberland for the Riverside BMX Track at Mason Sports Complex project in Allegany County.  This project proposes to resurface the entire Riverside BMX track at the C. Eugene Mason Sports Complex to improve safety.  The total cost for this project is $67,200.

This project is consistent with Local Parks and Playgrounds Infrastructure Funding objectives and funding was approved and appropriated by the General Assembly. However, Board of Public Works approval is necessary prior to the commitment of funds.  This project will be submitted to the Board for approval in the very near future and if approved, the local government may begin at their earliest opportunity.
