It is a pleasure to inform you that the Department of Natural Resources has received a grant request for Community Parks and Playgrounds (CPP) assistance for the following project:

Project: CPP 7846-1-488 – Baker Park – Soccer Field Lighting Upgrade
Applicant: Town of Midland, Allegany County
POS Local Amount: $75,000.00
Total Project Cost: $75,000.00

Project Description:
Install new lighting systems for the soccer field at Baker Park.

This project is consistent with Community Parks and Playgrounds objectives, and funding was approved and appropriated by the General Assembly. However, Board of Public Works approval is necessary prior to the commitment of funds. This project will be submitted to the Board for approval in the very near future, and if approved, the local government may begin at their earliest opportunity.
