Coronavirus (COVID-19) Resources

As I write this, it has been one week since the 2020 General Assembly Session ended abruptly in Annapolis. The world has changed, and a week ago feels like a lifetime ago.

I’ll save my reflections and official recap of the shortened 2020 session for another day and use this space to encourage everyone to wash their hands and come together (while maintaining the appropriate social distance, of course!) as we combat COVID-19 as a community.

This situation is especially challenging because it is constantly changing and more is being asked of us as parents, spouses, employees, business owners and citizens. It is overwhelming, and we are all doing the best we can to adapt to the changing definition of normal.

The good news is that while we are all doing more from home, we are not alone. Local and state officials as well as community partners have stepped up to help our citizens and small businesses.

I am also here for you. Contact my office with your questions and concerns, and if my team doesn’t have an immediate answer, we will do our best to get you one and direct you to the right place to get the help you need. You may reach my office at Mike.McKay@house.state.md.us or 301-858-3321.

There is a lot of information being shared, and it is hard to filter through it all to find what best applies to you, your family and your business. That\’s why I have  shared links to local and state websites with reliable information below about the current status of the COVID-19 virus in Maryland as well as resources and support. Please bookmark these pages as they are updated frequently.

I also implore you to follow Governor Hogan’s recommendations and do everything you can to “flatten the curve.” Stay home, wash your hands and safely support our healthcare workers, vulnerable neighbors and local businesses.
