On Wednesday, September 10, 2025, the Board of Public Works will be considering several items that impact your Districts 1B and 1C.

District 1B

A request from the Department of Natural Resources to commit a total of $46,744 from Program Open Space funding allocated to Allegany County for the following projects:

• Cresaptown Sports Complex: $21,744 to replace the existing chain link fencing and gates along Darrows Lane and the Complex’s access drive (Item 1A.1 of the Department of Natural Resources’ Real Property Agenda).
• Allegany College of Maryland: $25,000 for a new restroom building at the school’s gymnasium (Item 1A.2 of the Department of Natural Resources’ Real Property Agenda).

District 1C

A request from the Department of Natural Resources to commit $59,220 from the Program Open Space funding allocated to Washington County to replace a total of six pavilion roofs at Joseph Hancock Park and Widmeyer Park (Item 6A of the Department of Natural Resources’ Real Property Agenda).
