Dear Senator McKay and Delegate Hinebaugh:

On Wednesday, February 12, 2025, the Board of Public Works will be considering a request from the Department of Natural Resources to commit a total of $54,400 from Program Open Space funding allocated to Garrett County for the following projects:

• Eastern Garrett Community Park: $49,000 to repurpose an existing field for lacrosse activities. This includes upgrading the playing surface, adding field markings, goals, and spectator seating (Item 1A.1 of the Department of Natural Resources’ Real Property Agenda); and

• Bloomington Community Park: $5,400 for new picnic tables, bicycle racks, and exercise stations (Item 1A.2 of the Department of Natural Resources’ Real Property Agenda).
