On Wednesday, April 23, 2025, the Board of Public Works will be considering two items that impact your Districts 1A and 1B. Specifically:

District 1A: A request from the Department of Natural Resources to commit $20,100 from the Program Open Space funding allocated to Garrett County to construct a new pavilion near the recreational parking lot at Friendsville Memorial Park (Item 6A of the Department of Natural Resources’ Real Property Agenda); and 

District 1B: A request from the Department of Natural Resources to commit $87,562 from the Program Open Space funding allocated to Allegany County to regrade the ballfields, construct new maintenance sheds and repair fences at the Potomac Valley Athletic Association Sports Park (Item 1A of the Department of Natural Resources’ Real Property Agenda).
