The Board of Public Works has recently approved funding through the Department of Agriculture and the State Highway Administration. Capital improvements will happen all throughout Garrett, Allegany, and Washington Counties. Salt Structures Throughout the three counties will be improved with a $372,590 contract between Maryland and St. Mary’s Roofing and Home Improvement LLC of Hollywood, Maryland. This will ensure that the salt remains dry and protected from the elements in preparation for the winter.
The second grant is from the Department of Agriculture. it has recently approved a grant in Garrett County for the Sines Family Farm for $12,200.
