On Wednesday, April 17, 2024, the Board of Public Works will be considering several items that impact your Districts 1A, 1B, and 1C. Specifically:
District 1A: A request from the Department of Natural Resources to commit $14,400 from the Program Open Space funding allocated to Allegany County to upgrade the pavilion with a new ceiling, picnic tables and lighting at Meadow Park (Item 1A.3 of the Department of Natural Resources’ Real Property Agenda);
District 1B
- A request from the Department of Natural Resources to commit $97,000 from the Program Open Space funding allocated to Allegany County for new playground equipment at Constitution Park (Item 1A.1 of the Department of Natural Resources’ Real Property Agenda);
- A request from the Department of Natural Resources to commit $153,760 from the Program Open Space funding allocated to Allegany County for new poured-in-place safety surfacing at the Gene Mason Recreation Complex (Item 1A.2 of the Department of Natural Resources’ Real Property Agenda); and
District 1C: A request from the Department of Natural Resources to commit $90,000 from the Program Open Space funding allocated to Allegany County to install ballfield lighting, a batting cage and a chain link around the perimeter of Piney Plains Community Park (Item 1A.4 of the Department of Natural Resources’ Real Property Agenda).
